SOLSTICE TEA CEREMONY: WINTER EDITION with Helen

You are invited to come and experience the gentle medicine of tea on the winter solstice. The shortest day of the year invites us to honour the dark as a space where deep transformation happens. It is a time for rest, contemplation and nourishment. Let us do that together, in ceremony.
ABOUT THE EVENT
During this 2-hour event, we will move through a gentle somatic practice, pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), and a tea ceremony with meditation. There will also be time for journaling and/or reflection at the end. You'll head home feeling relaxed, grounded and deeply nourished.
ABOUT TEA
Cha Dao, the Way of Tea, is an ancient tradition originating from China that turns preparing and drinking tea into a mindful practice. It is all about slowing down and experiencing the magic of the present moment. Drinking tea mindfully and in ceremony becomes a meditation - a way to connect with nature's wisdom and find stillness.
Camellia Sinensis (tea) is a gentle, heart-opening plant medicine that has the power to deeply nourish. We will be drinking a premium tea specially selected for this occasion.
ABOUT YOUR HOST
Helen has been a student and teacher of yoga for several years and, more recently, a student of the tea leaf. The ritual of tea has become an essential part of her spiritual practice, allowing her to truly slow down and feel the depth of the present moment. She believes that tea ceremonies are not only a beautiful way to connect with the plant medicine of tea, but also to connect with others.

During an Advanced Aerial Yoga workshop, you will explore new possibilities, directions, and spaciousness within your practice. Carried and supported by the aerial fabric, you’ll move through deeper, more dynamic poses with a touch of playfulness—because Aerial Yoga isn’t only a beautiful evolution of your yoga journey, it’s also simply fun. In this workshop we focus strongly on building upper-body strength and exploring inversions.
You’ll work with challenging transitions that activate the arms, shoulders, and core, creating a powerful foundation for handstand work. The hammock will support and guide you as you practice controlled lifts, balance drills, and alignment cues that translate directly into your handstand practice. Throughout the session, you’ll cultivate trust, strength, and refined flexibility while moving through the air.
The aerial hammock adds an entirely new dimension to classical yoga postures. As you lift away from the ground, you gain fresh perspectives—both physically and mentally—expanding what you thought was possible.

Aerial Restore & Recharge Yoga 2 hour special workshop. Time to slow down. Aerial Restore & Recharge Yoga is designed to guide the body and mind into deep relaxation while creating spaciousness—both physically and mentally. Supported by the soft hammock, the body can fully release tension, allowing the nervous system to shift into a state of calm. Each pose is held for longer periods, giving the muscles permission to soften and the joints room to decompress.
A central element of this practice is expansive, unhurried breathing. The hammock invites the chest, ribs, and diaphragm to open naturally, making it easier to explore slow, conscious breaths. As you settle into stillness, the breath becomes a gentle anchor, deepening your sense of presence and restoring inner balance. In Aerial Restore & Recharge Yoga, there is no rush, no strain—only spacious release.
The combination of supported postures, mindful breathing, and subtle movement creates an environment where the body can reset, energy can be replenished, and the mind can find clarity. It is a practice of letting go, creating space, and reconnecting with your most grounded, peaceful self.

Booking Policy
We are very happy to practice yoga together with you! At the same time, we have limited capacity. As we would like to offer everybody a chance to practice, please book your classes online and on time to secure a spot. Thank you for taking this into account. 🙏🏽

Cancellation Policy
Did you book a class and you’re not able to attend after all?
No worries, we understand how erratic life can be… In that case, please make sure to always cancel. That’s done through the same channels where you booked the class.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations through email or phone.
We trust you with your reasons for a late cancellation, any reason. On the other hand, we must be a little strict, as we only have limited spots available in our studio.
Did you book a ticket for one of our events?
We kindly request you to send us an email with your cancelation, at the latest 5 days before the event will take place.

Waiting List
If someone cancels more than 4 hours before class starts, it means that the people in the waiting list will receive an email imforming about the possibility to book the class. If you are that lucky person, you will receive a notification that you’re able to join that class.

Three senior yoga teachers, each with decades of experience, decided to create a unique yoga studio in Breda. Our vision was to craft a space where both students and teachers could feel truly at home—a studio that is not only a great place to teach but also an amazing place to practice.
We wanted to offer the best yoga classes in Breda, taught by highly experienced instructors, while also maintaining a cozy, warm, and inviting atmosphere. Our goal is to create a space where the sacredness of yoga practice is honored, but where there is also room for fun and joy.
This vision led us to open a beautiful, intimate, and welcoming studio in the heart of Breda, a place where a vibrant yoga community could flourish, and where everyone feels welcome.

In our schedule you will find that most classes are covered by our co-founding teachers Boban, Eli and Patrick. In addition, some other talented teachers have come on board with The Yoga Loft, like Amelie Chretien, Maria Moschou, Tonatiuh Cruz Rico and Helen Talbot.
Boban Krstic
Yoga is like a dance through my soul. A path of discovery. A way of life that feeds my natural spontaneity and intuition. My dance background has shaped who I am. It has brought me flexibility. Not only in my body but as a human being. It has taught me to adapt to situations and environments, to move with whatever comes my way.
In moving from Belgrade to Rotterdam in 1994 after finishing the dance academy in Serbia, it has meant an adjustment in culture and surroundings. When I left the dance world a few years later to work in retail as a store manager and later a regional manager I applied my flexibility in lifestyle and daily routine situations. The same happened when I switched from management to yoga. Besides that, I encounter and get the opportunity to trust my flexibility in daily life, when I travel (which I love to do as often as possible) and in every challenge I face in life.
Yoga is like coming home. Dance already made moving a very natural thing for me, but yoga gave it a new dimension. An internal journey. The movement I initiated with dance, got lifted to another level. Turning inward, connecting, feeling and listening.
The Teacher Trainings I attended were all fed by movement. The 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, India laid the foundation for all of the classical postures. In the 200 and 500 hour Pralaya Yoga Teacher Training with Robert Boustany and Dorinda Farver I submerged myself into anatomy and energetics, both in relation to my own body as well as my student’s bodies. And during the Aerial Yoga Teacher Training I could dive deeper into my intention for creating a loving place where people can let go and experience freedom and strength in their own body.
Patrick van der Pol
Hello everybody I am Patrick!
I am a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and Breathwork Coach. Being a teacher, but mainly a lifelong student of Yoga, I am still amazed everyday how much yoga and breathwork can do for a person's life. The growth in mobility, strength (physically and mentally), flexibility and overall feeling of wellbeing.
Learning how to use the breath in any day situations to calm you down or pick you up, but also to help you get simply better sleep.
Being a Firefighter myself helped me in teaching Firefighters Yoga and Breathwork to facilitate and support them. Teaching them to calm their minds and their nervous system during intense situations. At the same time training the body for a long healthy career.
For most of my life I have been training in martial arts, starting with Karate and Kung Fu and now I am training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ).
I hold over 600 Hours of yoga education; learning from teachers like Hiro Landazuri, Patrick Beach, Adell Bridges, Dylan Werner and Talia Sutra. With Talia I did my 300 Hours Advanced yoga Training in India and was coming back home to the roots. I am also a certified Oxygen Advantage Advanced Teacher which I learned from Patrick Mckeown himself! Together with Eli I connect with my students all over the world thanks to our online platfom Move Breathe Academy, which provided also Yoga Teacher Trainings in person.
I am everyday inspired in doing everything I can for my and others wellbeing! Practice with Sthira & Sukha in everyday life.
Eli Ciuffarella
Since I was a kid in Italy I was always active so that was not a surprise that I am a movement enthusiast. Because of my scoliosis, I was directed to attend postural training at a very young age. I found my first love for movement in the swimming pool where I was in pre-agonistic training and competitions. After I started the same trajectory as a teenager for athletics, competing in middle distance races. I was part of a volleyball team and later I joined martial arts. Even though I injured my knees, ankle and feet as a consequence of two bad accidents, the love for the movement never left me.
This is when I discovered Yoga. Yoga helped me to recover from my injuries and at the same time helped me to reconnect with my body. As soon as I stepped on the mat something happened inside of me. Yoga brought me so much happiness, grounding and beautiful connection that I decided to become a teacher to be able to share my passion and my experience with others. I embarked on a journey seeking the best teachings, so I could transmit this art of yoga to my students in the most comprehensive way possible. I hold more than 900 Hours of Yoga Education simply because I believe we are always, in the first place, a student. This quest led me to many countries where I was able to practise and learn with one of the best yoga schools out there, Vikasa Yoga, and teachers such as Daniel Rama, Hiro Landazuri, Brad Terrell, Patrick Beach, Dylan Werner, Adell Bridges, Shakti Bird, Janet Stone, Meghan Currie and many others. With Daniel Rama I did my 300 Hours Advanced Yoga Training at Vikasa Yoga which was llife changing. Together with Patrick I lead 200 Yoga Teacher Trainings with out Move Breathe Academy.
I specialise both in the energetic and milder forms of yoga in order to bring balance into our productivity driven, stressed and self disconnected lifestyles. I love to create the space and time needed for people to challenge their comfort zone, explore their boundaries and connect to their inner playful child. I do it in a warm, smiling and fun way which suits my grounded approach to life and enthusiastic personality. My passions and practice include Hatha, Vinyasa, Locomotion, Mobility, Functional Movement, Rocket, Yin and everything having to do with Breathwork. I love to bring in my classes always a piece of my life and heart, positive energy, while enabling self confidence and creating a safe place for expression.
